Servolution – Dino Rizzo
I love the idea of churches serving their communities and connecting through acts of love in a way to be able to share the truth of Christ. However I have long been leery of Rizzo’s close affiliation to prosperity gospel practitioners. Joel Osteen’s father gave Rizzo the initial funds to plant HPC in Baton Rouge. The book itself is a gold mine of ideas and resources for reaching out in your local context. However if you do decide to read this book I would urge that you do so with a grain of salt and a recognition that the authors theology is a little bit off base.
